Water Sports at "Elephanta Beach"

Elephanta Beach on Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and exciting water sports, making it one of the top snorkeling destinations in the Andaman Islands. The beach is known for its rich underwater marine life, including colorful corals and diverse fish species, which can be seen just a few meters from the shore. Its soft white sand, scenic surroundings, and relatively calm sea also make it a popular spot for swimming, sea walking, and glass-bottom boat rides, attracting both nature lovers and adventure seekers.

CELLULAR JAIL

The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, is a historic colonial prison in Port Blair, Andaman Islands. Built by the British in 1906, it was used to exile and isolate Indian freedom fighters. The prison had over 600 solitary cells designed to break the spirit of inmates through complete isolation. Notable revolutionaries like Veer Savarkar were imprisoned here. Today, it stands as a National Memorial, symbolizing India’s struggle for independence. The evening Sound and Light Show narrates its harrowing history. A visit to the jail is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for India’s freedom and independence.
